Every hand is a decision under uncertainty.

KTH Poker Society is a student association at KTH for people who want to understand poker through strategy, probability and game theory.

We never play for money.

Poker nights and tournaments are free to enter, and prizes, when there are any, are sponsored. That keeps the focus on decisions and keeps the society open to everyone.

Poker is more than a card game.

It combines mathematics, psychology and decision-making under uncertainty, where analytical thinking meets competition.

KTH Poker Society is a student-led, non-profit association for students who share that interest. We want to be a place where beginners and experienced players alike can build their skills, exchange ideas and meet people who enjoy the same problems.

Through tournaments, workshops, guest lectures and social events, we want to connect the theory to real decisions at the table. We're also building partnerships with experienced players, professionals and organizations that care about strategy and analytical thinking.

What we're planning

  • Tournaments and poker nights

Free-to-enter games for every level, from complete beginners to competitive play.

  • Workshops and hand analysis

Sessions where we take real hands apart: ranges, pot odds, equity and the reasoning behind each decision.

  • Guest lectures

Experienced players and people from industry on strategy, risk and decisions under uncertainty.

  • Social events

Evenings to meet students from across KTH who enjoy thinking in probabilities.

Events

Our first events are being planned.

We're a new society and are setting up our first poker nights and workshops now. Members hear about them first, and we post every date on Instagram.
